This project was an investigation into how ‘site’ could be constructed through representation. Where the program or purpose of the design was derived from the operations of the landscape. Resulting in a series of drains that are formed from the operation of water, geology and soil.

Modelling is a mode of production that occurs through material processes; the drawings are also seen as models. Positing the model, or rather modelling in this way, is an active transformation of site and material. It suggests that the model could encompass change and redundancy, acting as a conduit between the landscape and drawing conventions.
